Hi! My name is Rachel Turetzky, but I go by Naia (from the Greek Naiad, a mythological water nymphe). I have a Clinical Psychology PhD from Pacifica Graduate Institute (Carpinteria, CA). I trained as a Psychedelic-Assisted Therapist at Sage Institute (Oakland, CA). I've worked with the Multidisciplinary Association for Psychedelic Studies (MAPS; Santa Cruz, CA) since 2012; I am currently an Adherence Rater on their Phase 3 Clinical Trials using MDMA to treat PTSD. I'm a Certified Integrative Wellness & Life Coach though Integrative Wellness Academy, a Certified Yoga Teacher through Marianne Wells Yoga School (Costa Rica), and Reiki Healer through the Usui System of Natural Healing.  I have been studying and practicing various forms of witchcraft and spirituality for over 25 years. I integrate my education, training experiences, and diverse interests to offer you holistic healing services tailored to your individual needs...

How may I help you?

On a personal level, I'd like to take a moment to share my story and how I found my path. I experienced a paradigm-shifting experience on LSD in December 2000 (I was 19 years old) that completely transformed my life and sense of self.  To contextualize the experience, it is necessary to provide some relevant personal history.  I had experienced emotional turbulence early in life that resulted in struggles with depression and adjustment disorder.  This disruption persisted throughout my adolescent years and interfered with my mood, functioning, and quality of life.  In retrospect, after reading the work of James Hillman (2013), I realize that my “mental illness” may very well have been a natural reaction to unfortunate circumstances for which I had no other coping mechanisms at the time.  Whatever the case, I was on a self-destructive path.  On this one particular LSD trip, I felt as though I was looking at my life from above and I saw the trajectory of my life if I were to have stayed on the deleterious path I was on.  Additionally, I saw my life as it might have been should I have had better circumstances in my youth.  At that moment, I realized the potential that existed within myself that I was not living up to.  I knew in that moment that I had to go back to college, get a job, quit abusing various substances, quit smoking cigarettes, and eat healthier.  The very next day, I began to address those realizations and followed through on each one.  Now, over 20 years later, I've far surpassed anything I could have ever imagined back then, which feels like a lifetime ago!

That LSD trip was one of the single most important experiences of my life, and I might not even be alive today if it were not for that experience.  As it turns out, such meaningful, life-altering experiences resulting from psychedelic experiences are not rare.  I am currently working with MAPS (Santa Cruz, CA) on their Phase 3 clinical trials using MDMA-assisted psychotherapy for chronic, treatment-resistant PTSD.  I trained as a ketamine-assisted therapist at Sage Institute (Oakland, CA).  Having both experienced firsthand as well as witnessed in clients the healing potential of psychedelic and psychedelic-like medicines, it is my passion to offer others guidance through these powerful healing experiences.

It is with this passion that Eleusia Psychedelic Integration Coaching (EPIC) was born. Eleusia is  named after the Eleusinian Mysteries of Ancient Greece. Initiates of this mystery school ritualistically consumed the psychedelic-containing drink Kykeon as part of their exploration into the nature of self, consciousness, and the universe.

I look forward to guiding you through your own EPIC journey of healing, transformation, and spiritual development!

With my head in the clouds and my feet on the ground... I'm a Free Spirit driven by inner vision. There are no powers greater than Love, Will, & Imagination, and when these three combine, the Force is unstoppable.

My heroes are anyone with vision and compassion, and the strength and integrity to live by their demands.
